So I override this method:
public List getItemsForOMGraphicMenu(OMGraphic graphic){...}

Yes, the method "public boolean mouseClicked(MouseEvent e) {...} is being
called and I am doing other things in there, but that
fireRequestMessage("Hello World"); doesn't seem to do anything.
