[OpenMap Users] VMAP2Shape arguments

I'm trying to create a "thinned" shape file off our VMAP CDs. Can anyone explain to me exactly what the eps and thresh values are, and how they affect the thinning? I can't find any documentation on this

Usage: java VMAP2Shape [args] <outfile.shp>
Arguments:
        -props <path> path to properties file
                            default: C:\Documents and Settings\TWebb.CORP\openmap.properties
        -prefix <identifier> vmap properties prefix
                            default: vmapref
        -thin <eps> <thresh> do thinning
                            default eps=0.1 thresh=0.5
