[OpenMap Users] Any web sites that contain code showing different way to do different things in map?

Does anyone know of any website available that has code contributed by
developers that shows different ways to use map? Something like a
Codeguru, SourceForge,etc website that contains source code for doing
many different things in a language.

I am new at Java. I am trying to change the way coodinates that are
displayed in in the lower left portion of the frame.
