[OpenMap Users] Displaying Geo Referenced Image Files

How can I display georeferenced tiff, gif, and jpeg files? I have image data
that I would like to overlay on my map? It appears the the earthimage layer
assumes worldwide coordinates so this doesn't seem to be the right layer. My
image data will be local, not necessarily worldwide.
