I'd check the number of range rings being created for the nautical
mile distance you have set, there might be a large number that are
being calculated. Unfortunately, the OMRangeRing isn't smart enough
to figure out that the current settings might be causing it to work
really hard, it just goes ahead and tries to do it.
I've seen this behavior hang an application for only less than a
minute, though, depending on the OS. If you increase the interval
number before changing to Nautical Miles, does that help?
