Hi Geir,

Thank you for your input. It is very interesting to know someone with
the same scenario. The current version of MapObjects I am using is
MapObjects 1.0.1 and the main problem that let me consider the switch is
cost (they has per-deployment fee) and performance. The geo-tiff
renderering performance is not very good for large set of images.
Comparing to MapObjects how does the Carsten's geo-tiff layer perform?

It's good to know that there is a community add-on for geo-tiff
supports. I think I now can started to evaluate OpenMap to be used
within my project.

Cheers,

Vairoj

I've search through the mailing list regarding OpenMaps supports for geo-tiff and geo-registered image format (an image with corresponding world file). I found some discussion about the development and contribution on the topic. What I would like to know is the current status of OpenMaps.
