More specifically you most likely need to fix the path in your
openmap.properties file for the layer you are trying to display.

Most likely a path problem.

Is data/shape/... in a directory not part of your $PATH.

Openmap-4.6.3 worked for me on fedora 2 thru 5.

Subject: [OpenMap Users] OpenMap JAR execution problem

Hi,

I am trying to execute the unmodified openmap-4.6.3 openmap.jar
residing in the openmap-4.6.3/lib directory on Fedora 2. The app starts

without the map. I get the following error involving the shapefiles. I

am mimicing the bin/openmap script except adding the "-jar openmap.jar"
instead of the normal ...OpenMap class entry. Can anyone help explain
how to get around these errors on the shapefiles?

Thanks for any help offered... --joe
