[OpenMap Users] Fast repaint of a animated icon?

Hello

I have an animated icon which is contained in an OMRaster. How can I repaint the icon without calling prepare?
The icon is repainted every 100 ms to get a natural animation sequence. I have tried to isolate the area where the icon is in the layer and only repaint that area, but it only works after calling prepare.

Any type of hint or help is appreciated!
