Hi,
I'm just a newbie checking on OpenMap. More precisely, what would be the right way to go to use tiled & multi-levelled raster data (ie. geotiff) in OpenMap. I've seen a number of threads about the geotiffs in the archives. Some even with code contributions. I've briefly tried one of those and quickly ran out of memory; until the heap size was raised to 1GB. Although the original file is 20MB. In the end I had no image at all; but that's probably due to my own inexperience with the product... :-)
So I was wondering whether I should do something special to have tiling and multi-level geotiff data working in a way it just loads the visible tiles into memory. Because that's what tiling and multi-levels are all about. Or should I go for another raster format altogether ?
