Ok, Yes now i have understand ;) but sorry probably is my fault...my native language is italian so... ;). So what are the changes you have made to the code if any? have you removed all the listener and components added to the mapHandler as Jesper Berglund sayd ? I am intersted in it even if my application has always a map displayed. However we have bought JProfiler as soon as it will arrive I will check several issues related to performance and memory leak Best Regards Alessio Iannone Software Engineer Mobile: 39 329 8834960 Email: alessio.iannone_at_nextant.it IM: quonn77_at_hotmail.com (AIM) http://www.linkedin.com/in/alessioiannone Web sites of the Martial Arts I play Nextant - Navcomm Applications Via Alessandro Noale See who we know in common Want a signature like this? ----- Messaggio originale ----- Da: "jonathan.2.hart@bt.com" <jonathan.2.hart@bt.com> A: openmap-users@bbn.com Inviato: Martedì 29 aprile 2008, 18:53:05 Oggetto: RE: [OpenMap Users] OMPoly memory leak Jesper, thanks I'll check they're all being set to null. Rob, thanks that's really helpful. I'll have a go at integrating those changes. Do you know whether they'll be going in to the next openmap release? Alessio, I probably didn't explain very clearly. I've got an instance of OpenMap running in a panel inside a bigger application. For example you load up my app, then you can open a mapping window inside my application. When you close my application down all memory is released. The problem I'm seeing is if you close just the OpenMap window in my application (leaving the rest of the program running) the memory used by openmap is not being reclaimed. I hope that is a bit clearer. Thank you all for your help. That helped me =) Greets! /Jesper Berglund > Hi, > > I'm using OpenMap embedded in an Eclipse rich client application.
