[OpenMap Users] openmap.WebBrowser and Linux

Greetings, everyone.

I am helping to update a software package for Langrangian particle tracking and
one of the options is to open a browser window to display the numerical results.
It runs on both Linux and XP. The previous version used Openmap 4.5.3 and the
user was able to specify which browser to use using the openmap.WebBrowser
parameter in the properties file.

However, when using 4.6.3 and 4.6.5 that no longer works. In Linux, the program
tries to start netscape, as shown below:
*** ERROR ***
WebBrowser caught IOException loading webpage
(File:///tmp/Elevation.9461.barotropic.html)
Cannot run program "netscape": java.io.IOException: error=2, No such file or
directory
*************

In Windows, the program uses the system default browser, whether it is explorer
or firefox, even if the openmap.WebBrowser parameter is set to the other
browser.

The relevant part of the properties file is :
# ###################################################
# How to launch a browser to display additional information.
openmap.WebBrowser=/usr/bin/firefox

The Linux error is a deal-breaker. No doubt I am missing something obvious, but
I am missing. Can anyone point me in the right direction? (We want to use a full
browser.)

Thanks,
Jason
