I have found another bug with the DrawingTool Layer. The Length class in package com.bbn.openmap.proj also does not implement serializable so if you add a concentric ring and change its units to something like miles it will also fail to save the layer.

I am using the drawing tool layer and have found an error if you try to save the layer when it has lines with arrow heads. The cause is the OMArrowHead class does not implement serializable.
