Hi,
I'm using a VPFLayer to display VMap data. When I use the setPath() method
to switch from a continent to another, I sometimes get the following
exception :
*** ERROR ***
VPF Layer|LayerWorker.construct(): java.lang.NullPointerException
*************
java.lang.NullPointerException
at com.bbn.openmap.layer.vpf.VPFLayer.prepare(VPFLayer.java:700)
at
com.bbn.openmap.layer.policy.BufferedImageRenderPolicy.prepare(BufferedImageRenderPolicy.java:69)
at
com.bbn.openmap.layer.OMGraphicHandlerLayer$LayerWorker.construct(OMGraphicHandlerLayer.java:648)
at com.bbn.openmap.util.SwingWorker$2.run(SwingWorker.java:117)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:534)
I met this problem a few times, and I can't reproduce the bug. Most of the
times, the setPath() method works perfectly.
Am I doing something wrong ? Is there something I should do before making
the call to setPath() ?
This is not a critical bug in my application, since the new VMap data loaded
is still displayed correctly, but I would like to avoid the exception to
occur, and to understand if whatever I'm doing wrong might cause a more
serious bug.
Thanks in advance for your help.
