Really appreciate for your great help!
Followed your directions, I run the command: "eclipse
-vm C:\j2sdk1.4.2_12\jre\bin\javaw -vmargs -Xmx1800M"
to try to increase heap to 1.8 GB.
However, I got the same error message:
"...java.land.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space"
