Re: [OpenMap Users] Multi-level & tiling

Hi Jan,

I use the com.bbn.openmap.layer.imageTile.ImageTileLayer to load
images. I think the ImageTileLayer does some filtering based on
scale, limiting what images it loads until the scale gets closer to
something appropriate for an image, but I'd have to look at the
javadocs to remember how that worked. You could also use several
ImageTileLayers held by a ScaleFilterLayer to get a multi-level effect.

The ImageTileLayer should be waiting to load the image data until that
image is on the map (and the scale is somewhat reasonable).

How big is the image dataset you want to manage?

Regards,

- Don
