[OpenMap Users] Should I use OpenMapFrame instead of JFrame?

Hi,
  
   I'm using NetBeans 6.1 to develop a desktop app. I like to use the GUI
editor within NetBeans to design my GUI. If I use OpenMapFrame, I'm stuck
handling the layout management manually. Is there any real benefit to using
OpenMapFrame instead of JFrame to host the map? Have anyone found any
workarounds for this issue?
