I just wanted to make sure everyone on the list knows that the OpenMap
5 beta is available via an svn repository located at
http://openmap.bbn.com/svn/openmap/trunk
.
You can view the repository at
http://openmap.bbn.com/cgi-bin/
viewvc.cgi, and you can follow the Twitter feed at
http://twitter.com/openmap
to see details of checkins as they are happening.
The CHANGELOG is being kept up-to-date with the changes for OpenMap 5,
and its important to note that this next version will not be backward
compatible with past versions. Deprecated methods are going to be
deleted, the Projection library API has changed to be based on
Point2D, and redundant packages and classes are going to be removed.
We're trying to make the transition as easy as possible, and
appreciate any feedback on your experiences integrating with OM5.
